Fun, Fun, Fun

I'm finally back. Hopefully, I will stay in the swing of things - blogging that is. Fiesta is fun, but I sure get tired out by the end of the week. I've felt so blessed to have so much support. This is the beginning of my fourth year here at Grandview A/G and I think both I and the congregation have grown to support each other. This year's event called for so much more man power than any other event, yet it seemed easier for me to get volunteers than any other year. People were actually asking to help. That is such an awesome feeling.

We went school shopping again today. We had previously bought pants, but today was shoes and shirts. Well as in years past, we waited too long and there wasn't much selection. Everyone did manage to get new shoes - kids not me:(. I didn't find any I really liked, well at the price I wanted that is. It was such a long day. The boys are pretty set, but Cathy will still need another trip. She has enough to get by until stores replenish.

With Fiesta and all, I haven't even gone to the school to see Cathy's classroom placement! Class lists went up Friday, and since I was growing up that was the big deal. Friday before school, go and see who's your teacher. Well, we don't know yet. Maybe we'll stop tomorrow after church. Or, I'll find out Monday. Work again :(

Tomorrow (well i guess its today) is exciting. We'll be doing some of the Fiesta songs during worship. It will be fun to see how everyone responds to that. I hope I can round up kids to sit up front so they can get into it. I also get to baptize Holly. Holly has been at our church for just over a year. Right away when she came, she wanted to get involved in Children's Ministry and she's been my right hand ever since. I continually thank God for bringing her. She is more than just my teammate, but truly my friend. I felt honored when she asked if I'd baptize her. I'm sort of nervous, mostly about dropping her. I have absolutley no stregnth in my arms. Then the Disco Dolls (kids) will be performing. It's going to be fun tomorrow.

Hope you all have fun. Get involved in church. Join the excitement.
