Greatness (is that even a word?)

Ok, so I guess you can tell I like this blogging thing, since I keep writing things. There was a comment on my Chuck E. Cheese post that I must respond to. The comment asked if I tell my husband what I say about him on the blog.

You see before I wrote the Chuck E. Cheese article I contemplated. Do I just write the greatness of it "We went to Chuck E Cheese today and had a great time. Here are some pictures" or do I tell the whole story - even though that would show more sides of us. First I thought I'm just going to write the positive things - it will help me focus on the good that happens each day to write positive blogs. As I thought more about what I wanted this blog to represent. I decided that I wanted it to represent the good things that happen each day, but most of all the way that God is working in our lives. I wanted my kids to read this as adults and not think that they were perfect kids doing only great things each day or that we were perfect adults, but see some of our "real days" our imperfections and see how God helps us through those times.

I didn't write that I was acting frustrated and childish, taking it out on Jorge to demean me. I didn't write that Jorge wants to spend money to make him look bad either. I just wanted the real greatness to come through. The fact that I was upset, we went to a fun place, Jorge and I talked things out and came to a great place financially (without fighting about money - disussing it). How God used my frustration and allowed my kids a great time and we came home with financial peace - Now that's greatness.

i wasn't suggesting you shouldn't write about the stuff you do; it makes for great reading. my point was that your husband should at least be aware that you are willing to "wear your/his feelings on your sleeve" for all the internet world to see.

all in all, it's great to read about your family's 'going ons'.

have you checked out that other blog link i have on my site (the best couple in minnesota). i think you'd really enjoy it. even if you don't know who they are.
