School days

School has begun. There are a lot of changes going on. We have a new teacher to work with this year. Cathy is in 3rd grade. I am pleased with her placement. Jorge is starting Kindergarten this year. It will be fun for Jorge. I think that he enjoys people, boys especially (since there seems to be a shortage of young boys in our circle), and he likes to talk and share his life. A bit rambunctious, but I guess he partially gets that from me (mostly his dad) only I know when to stop. I hope that he will learn that too, SOON!

Cathy looked so happy with her new class and seeing her friends again. I hadn't seen her smile so much in a while. I know that it was a great day. My kids are blooming. I sent them to be tonight on their own. I didn't go in with them. But Jorgie went in her room and they prayed together. Out loud on their own. I was so proud of them. They usually wait for me. But not today. It was a great moment as a parent.

I haven't gotten into the swing of going to bed early and waking up early. Well I guess I never really got a handle on that last year either. By the afternoon I'm about dead! I've been watching 24 (it's a tv show) on DVD. I get so into it that I can't stop. But I was thinking that my work days feel long. They literally have a 24 hour work day, when their on a case. If CTU in real life is really like that their families must really be supportive of their jobs. I trust that everyday isn't like that for them. Or even several days. Hopefully our country isn't continually under terrorist threats. May the Lord continue to keep us in his hands.
