Life goes on

I missed a sleepover tonight. It was an all girls sleepover at our church, makeup, hair curling, etc. I missed it because through many schedule changes (it wasn't my idea in the first place, but I thought it was a cool idea) it turned out being tonight. My mom isn't back home tonight. So I needed to be home with my dad and my boys. As I dropped Cathy off, I had a hard time leaving. I wanted to be there in the midst of it all. The girls looked like they were going to have such a great time, without me. Jorge had made a puppet at school today (out of a paper bag). Earlier we had made one for Jeremiah. I got my dad out of bed and brought him to the living room. I sat down and the boys began performing a puppet show. They were hiding behind the couch singing songs. Jeremiah copied everything Jorge said (about 2 second delay). It was the cutest things. Especially, when Jeremiah would pop up then say "bye" and drop down. I had the most enjoyable time, my dad was all smiles, the boys were so proud. I would have missed that! The boys went to bed at a decent hour and it has been so peaceful. I've been working on stuff and wondering what fun their having now, etc. Then I thought, it is really great that they can be having a great time and I'm not there. That shows ministry growth. Although I'm not there, I supported the event. This doesn't mean that I want to be less involved. I enjoy ministry and getting in there. Being apart of things that we do. I want to see the joyous faces not just hear about them. But it is nice to know that things can go on.

today was also my first youth event that i wasn't a part of. (well . . . there was that whole mexico missions trip thing; but besides that)

there was a scheduled reallife.MOVIE night, but i was also scheduled to work at pizza hut. i didn't want to reschedule so Vicki, Laruel, & Deb were my adult leaders for the night.

there was a great turn out and from what i hear everything went smoothly! i was so thankful this happened, otherwise i probably would never had asked Vicki to get involved and i think she's a great person to influence the youth.

[i always thought it was so fancy and weird to say, anywho.... my millionarire aunt says that all the time. See, mag, those are the sophisticated people! ANYWHO!]

I do not understand how it can take up to a month for mail to go from california to here...

PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT TO ME>...

how is it even physically possible? Is the post office running it up here?

I emailed the 'seller' and they said they mailed it the day after i ordered it.

I feel shocked, honestly. Where does it go?

anyhow.. yes, i need my own blog to ramble, and not go on yours, huh?

holly,
i don't imagine that it could really take that long. my experience with the post office/ups hasn't been such. maybe the seller isn't really being honest with you. they do give a wide range for delivery to give them some grace.
